Dennis Usdan is a fine art photographer and recovering lawyer. He was born and raised on Long Island, New York. He graduated from the University Of Vermont and Boston University School of Law. His main instruction in photographic art were received at the Boca Raton Museum School and Delray Beach Florida Old School Square Art and Photography; now known as The School of Creative Arts. He has also been a guest lecturer on photographic creativity at the school.

He resides with his digital artist wife Carole in South Florida and formerly in the high country of Valle Crucis, North Carolina. 

His photographs have been winning selections in various art media juried competitions. His photographs were winning selections by the Watauga Arts Council and were displayed at the Jones House, Boone NC 2009; and in 2011. A photograph was selected for Visions of Peace Boone NC 2013 and exhibited at the Jones House. The Boca Raton Museum of Art selected his photographs as part of the juried All Florida Competition 2009 and 2011; as well the cover of the All Florida Competition invitation to artists 2010. Furthermore his photographs were selected for publication in Black and White and Color Magazine 2011, 2012, 2020, 2021, and 2023. He exhibited in a two person show Carlton Gallery, Boone NC 2013. His images were jury selected for exhibit in Camera USA 2016, Naples Florida and Photoplace 2016, Vermont.

Other selections for juried art exhibitions include: Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge Photography Contest 2010, 2011 (artistic award winners); 75th Anniversary Blue Ridge Parkway Photography Competition, Boone North Carolina; Art Haven Art Gallery of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida photo competition 2010; The Peace on Earth Art competition 2010, Lighthouse Art Museum; Florida, (award winner); Coral Springs Florida Center for the Arts 2010; and 2012 Toe River Arts Council Art Competition, North Carolina.
